FAQs

Why do fences turn gray?
Within 6 months after installation, a fence or deck will turn gray due to mildew growth.

How long does it generally take?
Generally, it takes 2-3 hours for the entire process including cleaning and staining.

Why do you not use power washing?
Although, power washing does remove the mold, it deteriorates the wood. Our chlorine-based solution removes the mold without any damage to the woods integrity.

How long will the stain last?
We guarantee the semi-transparent stain for 3 years and transparent stain for 2 years. Although depending on the weather conditions, the stain and its properties will often last 5-10 years.

Why should I have my fence stained professionally?
We use a commercial grade stain that goes on evenly and produces no drips or runs. Our stain formula provides even coverage yet allows the natural wood grain to show through. We also use an airless sprayer to ensure the stain properly saturates the wood. Another challenge in staining fences is protecting the areas around your structures from overspray. We go to great measures to cover and protect your landscaping, pool and hard-scape (boulders, patio, etc.). However, some overspray may occur on your grass near the bottom of your fence. This is normal and will disappear in a few weeks.
