Application
Our sealants are applied only under proper weather conditions. Excess wind, rain, or other job-specific weather conditions may affect scheduling. Applied under proper conditions our sealants will deliver 3-5 years of excellent service.
There is a two step application process:
- Cleaning the fence or deck:
Surface Preparation - This is achieved by applying a chlorine-based solution to remove the mold. This process will restore your wood to almost the natural color. After 24 hours of drying time, the wood is then ready for the preservation process. This step is not required on new fences.
Area Preparation - Landscaping, pools and decking, as well as porous surfaces are carefully covered to prevent damage from overspray. Great care is taken to minimize the effects of overspray.
- Applying the Stain:
The deep penetrating modified oil formula allows for complete coverage in just one application. This portion of the application generally takes 1-2 hours. The stain is applied with a high pressure sprayer that leaves uniform color with no drips or runs.
